Cable Route Locator

Introduction

This route locator is very much useful for finding the route of the underground cable. We can also detect particular cable out of bunch of cables. Unit consists of Transmitter & Receiver.  

Transmitter : Transmitter will generate modulated signal which is fed to one of the pair of the cable which is under detection. Other end of that pair is connected to earth. Transmitter has got a provision to increase signal strength. Flashing LED  on the transmitter will indicate presence of signal.

Receiver : Receiver is battery operated. Sensor is attached to the receiver. Sensitivity of received signal can be controlled by pot meter. Sensor is moved across the probable area. Wherever signal strength is high sound heard will be loud. There is also bar display to check the strength of signal. Thus we can detect route of the cable.
