STD PCO Tester is one of the highly popular product out of the chain of our telecom testing machines.

This is microcontroller based product which is very much useful for testing any type of STD PCO.Unit basically contains 16 KHZ oscillator and the counter.16 KHZ signal generated by our machine is just identical to that generated by the exchange.So without the help of exchange we can calibrate/check the STD-PCO machine.

Unit can be operated on two modes - Offline and Online. In Offline mode exchange side is disconnected and our unit is connected across the STD PCO.There are four ranges of pulse rate .5sec ,1sec,2sec and 4sec.We can select any one pulse rate at a time.Then after pressing the start button , 16 KHZ pulses at the selected rate will be started, which will be fed to internal counter as well as STDPCO counter.After the end of sufficient observation period, oscillator can be stopped. Then the pulses shown by our counter should be identical to that read by STD PCO counter. In the on line mode ,line is not disconnected from the exchange and our machine is connected across the exchange line. Then STD or ISD call is made and pulses received from the exchange are diverted to our counter as well as to STD PCO. After the end of the call , pulse shown by our counter should match with those of the STD PCO reading. Unit is very handy and carry bag is provided along with the unit.

 

Technical Specifications

Offline Testing :

In off line testing our internal oscillator is used, which generates signal identical to that generated by the telephone exchange. This signal is feed directly to STD PCO machine as well as our internal counter. Polarity change over switch may have to be used for starting counter of STD PCO . At the end of predetermined duration, number of pulses displayed by our counter and STD PCO counter are compared. We can verify the above facts for different pulse ratings of our internal oscillator.

Online Testing :

Selecting ‘ON LINE’ mode, connect the unit to the rosette of STD PCO without disconnecting exchange line. Dial any STD number. After maturity of the call, 16 KHz pulses received from exchange , will be directly read on the 2 digit pulse counter of our STD PCO tester. At the end of the call , counting stops . This reading can be verified with STD PCO printer reading.
